Melbourne’s Original Ice Cream Van Company – Since 1965

For over six decades, Melbourne Ice Cream Vans has been delighting generations with the nostalgic charm of the classic ice cream van. Established in 1965, we are Melbourne’s first, longest-operating, and most trusted ice cream van company, bringing joy to events, festivals, and streets across the city.

Nothing captures the magic of a summer’s day quite like the sound of an ice cream van rolling in, music playing, and the promise of a sweet, refreshing treat. We are proud to still operate the original ice cream van that has been serving Melburnians since the late ’60s—a true piece of history that continues to bring smiles to faces young and old.

In the past, we have also owned and operated the original MR WHIPPY ice cream vans, making us an authentic part of Australia’s ice cream truck legacy. With decades of experience behind us, we remain committed to keeping this beloved tradition alive.

We are aware that other companies have attempted to imitate us, with some even using similar business names to ours. However, we are the original pioneers—the first, longest-operating, and most trusted ice cream van company in Melbourne. Our reputation for quality, professionalism, and exceptional service sets us apart from the rest.

In addition to our iconic vintage van, our modern fleet of retro-fitted ice cream vans is available to hire for events of all sizes. Whether it’s a market, festival, concert, wedding, corporate event, sporting match, or private party, we bring a professional, friendly, and seamless service to every occasion.
